We live in a time of immense stress and anxiety. The demands of life, families, jobs, relationships and technology are overwhelming for us and our kids. How can we deal with stress, negative thoughts, reactivity & difficult emotional patterns in everyday life? How can be here in each moment for ourselves and others? How can we strengthen our ability to focus, to self-regulate and develop emotional balance while treating ourselves with self-compassion and others with kindness?
We can do this through Mindfulness practices that are effective ways of quieting the mind, increasing conscious awareness, building adaptability, equanimity and resiliency. Through the practice of Mindfulness we become more responsive to life and less reactive by experiencing new ways to be present to our lives. Mindfulness is about our well-being, and the well-being of those around us. It’s a way of understanding the causes of the happiness and the causes of stress and dissatisfaction.
When we learn to pay attention to our experience in a non-judgmental, open and inquisitive way, we begin to find ways of living that really work.
